Confronting people with attitudinal problems

This season has been a good one in terms of watching God's psople interact with each other. I have been praying for Wisdom and Patience and God is answering my prayer. There has always been a critical spirit among God's people but it seems the holidays brings it out worse. My personal approach was to Love everyone and Edify, encourage and support all of God's people no matter who they are or what is their circumstances.

The problem is that Im also the Senior Pastor and because of this Calling, Office and Authority I can't walk around turning a blind eye to the attitudes that are not Christian by God's people. As a leader I have to accept the fact that bringing correction to people falls under my authority it is my responsibility. I continue to pray seeking God's Holy Spirit and listening to his voice as he leads me in this task for I don't dare want to cause anyone pain. I love God's people all of them and I want to see them grow stronger and more committed to Him and be fruitful disciples that bring Him glory in every aspect of their lives.

I ask all of God's people to stop and take an attitude check. How much negativity are you expressing especially about your brother or sister? How much time are you choosing to spend in contemplative examination of your spirit? Can you say right now that all I have for others is the Love of God? Or are you filled with criticism after criticism after criticism, always something going wrong. I pray if the answers to these questions point out to you that you need an attitude check you will do something about it. Talk with God , forgive those who have offended you, and confess to a friend. Then go out and spread some cheer about the Advent the comming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as our propiation that has brought us in atonement with God.
